Financial Accounting Specialist (m/f/d)

Role:
In this role, you take responsibility for precise and reliable financial accounting and thus contribute significantly to the financial management of the company. You analyse and post ongoing business transactions, ensure timely and accurate financial statements, and keep an eye on all relevant key figures. Furthermore, you are responsible for the careful preparation of financial data, providing a solid basis for management decisions. You work closely with internal interfaces, optimise existing accounting processes, and ensure high data quality and compliance with applicable regulations. With your professional demeanour and independent, structured working style, you contribute to the continuous development of financial processes.
Responsibilities:
- You independently manage the general and subsidiary ledgers and ensure correct posting of all business transactions.
- In this role, you are responsible for cash management including payment transactions, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and liquidity planning.
- As a financial accounting specialist, you support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to Swiss GAAP (OR).
- You actively participate in VAT returns, analyses, audits, and finance-related projects.
- In this role, you contribute to the optimisation and documentation of financial processes.
- As a financial accounting specialist, you take on additional tasks according to your interests and strengths.
Qualifications:
- You have completed commercial training with further education in finance and accounting (at least finance & accounting clerk or equivalent).
- You have several years of professional experience in a similar role and are confident in preparing financial statements according to Swiss GAAP (OR).
- You are familiar with ERP systems (SAP is an advantage) and understand processes from purchasing to supplier payment.
- You work independently, precisely, and reliably meet deadlines.
- You have very good MS Office skills, especially Excel.
- You communicate fluently in German; knowledge of French is a plus.
