The Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Diseases Centre (CHBP) is a reference centre in Switzerland. More than 1700 cases are discussed there annually. It cares for patients suffering from diseases of the liver, bile ducts, pancreas, and digestive tract. These cases are often complex or require the opinion of several specialists.
The centre is recognised for the excellence of its care as well as the speed and responsiveness of patient management.
You will ensure the organisation, preparation, and complete compilation of patient files and publication of the lists of patients presented, the smooth running and follow-up of multidisciplinary meetings, the forum, and the colorectal metastases (MCR) meeting of the Hepatobiliary Centre.
You will independently prepare the forums and the MCR meeting and enter into the patient’s electronic medical record (EMR) the treatment proposals made for each patient during these meetings.
You will assist the CHBP team in all administrative aspects of their activities: organising meetings, drafting minutes, document management, updating databases, telephone reception, as well as any other administrative tasks necessary for the smooth running of the service.
Qualifications
You hold a Federal VET Diploma as a commercial employee and/or a medical secretary diploma, or any equivalent training deemed appropriate.
You have at least two years of successful experience in a similar position within a medical secretariat.
You have perfect command of French, both spoken and written, and proven writing skills. Medical terminology is easily understandable to you. Knowledge of English is an asset.
You hold the ECDL advanced certificate for Word and standard for Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Web. Additionally, you have very good knowledge of the software used at the HUG (in particular DPA, EMR, OPALE).
While having a good sense of organisation and priorities, you demonstrate autonomy, rigour, and precision in the tasks entrusted to you.
You are comfortable interacting with healthcare professionals and external partners.
You have a good command of medical vocabulary and an interest in the hospital environment.
You are flexible with working hours (variable duration of multidisciplinary meetings).
You master common IT tools and have the ability to work with different information systems.
You also have the tools to cope with unforeseen events and thus easily manage stressful situations. Empathetic, you enjoy human contact and show tact in sensitive situations.
You are able to work in a multidisciplinary team.
Finally, you demonstrate a strong sense of confidentiality.
