You are seeking a new challenge as a Strategic Buyer and have already gained experience in this role. In this position, you take responsibility for strategic purchasing decisions and stand out as a senior with your expertise. You are responsible for developing and implementing purchasing strategies to achieve your company’s goals. With your experience and knowledge, you make well-founded decisions and actively shape the purchasing area. You are an important part of the team and contribute your skills and knowledge to be successful together.
Responsibilities:
Management of strategic procurement of pharmaceutical starting materials and active ingredients as well as identification and evaluation of potential new sources of supply.
Building long-term cooperation with suppliers and independently conducting terms, price, and contract negotiations.
Monitoring and evaluating relevant procurement markets and deriving suitable purchasing strategies considering quality, supply security, and costs.
Cross-disciplinary collaboration with quality, manufacturing, and other internal interfaces to assess and approve suppliers and raw materials used.
Accompanying and coordinating the entire purchasing process – from clarifying requirements and ordering to checking and processing incoming invoices.
Supporting and actively participating in strategic purchasing initiatives and interdisciplinary projects.
Qualifications:
Completed commercial or technical training with further education in purchasing.
Solid professional experience in purchasing, especially in strategic procurement and supplier management.
Professional experience in a pharmaceutical or chemical environment or in a work area shaped by GMP requirements.
Strong communication and negotiation skills combined with an analytical approach as well as an independent and well-organised working style.
Very good German skills as well as good English skills and confident use of common ERP applications and Microsoft Office programmes.
