Main Responsibilities of the Position
Accounting & Finance
- Manage accounts receivable: preparation and issuance of invoices, monitoring payments, client reminders, account reconciliation.
- Manage accounts payable: entry and verification of supplier invoices, preparation and entry of payments.
- Ensure tracking of fixed assets and accounting depreciation.
- Manage employee expense reports.
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns.
- Participate in the monthly and annual closing process in collaboration with the fiduciary: reconciliations, closing entries, and consistency checks.
- Assist in preparing the annual budget and financial forecasts.
- Participate in cash flow monitoring and optimisation of financial flows.
- Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and reports for management.
Reporting & Analysis
- Produce and update simple financial dashboards.
- Participate in monitoring key performance indicators (turnover, margins, costs, cash flow).
- Contribute to variance analysis between budget and actuals.
- Provide ad hoc analyses to assist management in decision-making.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of administrative and financial processes.
General Administration
- Ensure routine administrative follow-up and filing of accounting, financial, and contractual documents.
- Manage and update administrative files as well as various internal databases.
- Monitor certain contracts, subscriptions, and company insurances, including deadlines and renewals.
- Serve as an administrative contact point with suppliers, external service providers, banks, and other partners.
- Participate in administrative management related to employee arrivals and departures, in coordination with relevant persons.
- Ensure follow-up of orders and supplies necessary for the smooth running of the office.
- Contribute to updating and improving internal administrative procedures and documents.
- Provide occasional administrative support to management and various teams.
Desired Profile
- Holder of an accounting qualification (CFC commercial employee, finance/accounting orientation or equivalent).
- At least 4 to 5 years of experience in a similar position in Switzerland, ideally within an SME.
- Perfect mastery of Swiss accounting principles as well as closing processes.
- Comfortable with IT tools and Excel/Google Sheets/ERP.
- Appreciates numbers as much as their interpretation to produce clear, relevant, and comprehensive reports.
- Organised, rigorous, autonomous, and reliable.
- Excellent sense of priorities and strong execution capacity.
- Willingness to actively participate in the development of an ambitious and fast-growing company.
- Possesses a true entrepreneurial spirit and a positive, solution-oriented attitude: "The answer is yes."
- Fluent in French, both spoken and written. English and/or German are assets.
