Resiliam is an association that supports children and young people facing serious illness, disability, or the death of a loved one. It accompanies families, answers children’s questions, soothes their anxieties, and thus prevents trauma-related aftereffects. It provides free support to families affected by these challenges, whether individually, as a family, or in groups.
As part of a maternity leave replacement, we are looking for:
A Support Nurse Manager at 70%
Fixed-term contract (November 2026 to July 2027)
Responsibilities:
- Support families with the aim of primary and secondary prevention;
- Explain the illness, treatments, and side effects to children and parents;
- Co-lead family interventions and groups in a multidisciplinary approach (in tandem with psychomotor therapists and occasionally an art therapist);
- Lead support groups for children and adolescents as well as parent cafés on the themes of illness, bereavement, and disability;
- Coordinate with healthcare providers and social services involved with the families followed;
- Promote Resiliam and conduct training for professionals in the medico-social network;
- Represent the association in the media;
- Participate in writing articles, activity reports, and oral presentations.
Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent qualification;
- Additional certified training in oncology and/or palliative care;
- Additional training in systemic practice is an asset;
- Experience in oncological and palliative care;
- Interest in paediatric care and disability;
- Experience as an adult trainer;
- Excellent knowledge of the Geneva medico-social network;
- Good knowledge of common IT tools;
- Good command of English is an asset;
- Availability to work late afternoons and occasionally weekends and public holidays;
- Autonomy, creativity, and organisational skills.
