Automation Engineer PLC (m/f/d)
Role:
In this position, you will realise customer-specific automation solutions and accompany projects from technical clarification through implementation to successful commissioning. You are the central interface between customers, partners, and internal teams, ensuring professional coordination of all project activities. In doing so, you will continuously develop yourself, take on increasing responsibility, and actively shape the further development of innovative automation solutions.
Responsibilities:
Technical consulting and direct communication with customers to capture requirements and develop suitable solutions
Planning, implementation, and support of varied automation projects according to defined standards
Programming, adaptation, and commissioning of PLC and HMI systems
Coordination and monitoring of interfaces, partner services, and external project participants
On-site project support at the customer and technical assistance during realisation
Participation in the continuous improvement of automation processes and technical solutions
Gradual assumption of additional project and company responsibilities
Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to successfully implement individual customer requirements
Qualifications:
Completed technical basic training in electrical engineering, automation, or a comparable field
Technical further education at HF/FH/TS level is an advantage
Solid knowledge in programming SIMATIC S7 and SIMATIC HMI systems
Experience with Siemens TIA Portal, classic systems, and programming languages such as KOP, FUP, AWL or SCL
Knowledge of high-level languages, IT systems, network technology, or MS Office is an advantage
Enthusiasm for modern automation technology and enjoyment of technical challenges
Independent, committed, and solution-oriented working style
High motivation, initiative, and willingness to take responsibility
Strong communication skills and enjoyment of direct customer contact
Good English skills spoken and written
Fluent German skills
