How you create added value

Bern is not a satellite office - it is a fully-fledged team in development. You are the first leader on site, gradually building your team (2026: 3-4 engineers, 2027: 5-6) while remaining technically active yourself. No overhead, not a pure management position.

What to expect specifically:

• You gradually build up the Bern team and lead it both disciplinarily and professionally: one-to-one meetings, capacity planning, development of team members.
• You work closely with the five other team leads and the Head of Microsoft IT Services.
• You actively operate and develop Windows server, M365 and cloud environments for customers.
• You take on technical project management for migrations, IT outsourcing and infrastructure upgrades.
• You solve complex problems in 3rd-level support and keep architecture descriptions and runbooks up to date.
• You ensure service quality and SLA compliance towards customers and escalate if necessary.

What sets you apart

You are not a leader detached from day-to-day business. You still know what a runbook looks like and can read and write PowerShell. At the same time, you know how to build a team without micromanaging it.

What you bring:

• 2-3 years of experience in a team lead or senior role with personnel responsibility.
• Several years of practical experience with Microsoft environments - you know these environments from operations, not just theory.
• Solid IT infrastructure knowledge: you have actively helped shape hybrid infrastructures.
• Structured communication at all levels: team, customers, management - in German and English, French is a plus.
• Experience with capacity planning and prioritisation in a managed services environment.
• PowerShell skills and enthusiasm for automation.
