Role:
For an established Swiss company in the construction and project business in the Olten region, we are looking for an experienced finance professional who combines classic accounting with a good understanding of costs, projects and operational processes. The company operates in a versatile technical environment and offers a down-to-earth organisation with short distances and direct exchange between administration, project managers and management.
The role is particularly suitable for professionals who do not want to work exclusively in the general ledger. In addition to accounts receivable, accounts payable and closing tasks, you will gain insight into the financial development of individual projects and help to represent costs and results transparently and comprehensibly.

Responsibilities:
You manage the ongoing financial accounting and ensure correct processing of all business transactions.
You independently check, code and post accounts payable invoices.
In case of discrepancies between invoices, orders and service records, you carry out the necessary clarifications with internal and external parties.
You create accounts receivable invoices and monitor outstanding receivables including dunning.
You actively support monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and independently take on defined closing tasks.
You prepare VAT returns correctly and on time.
In project and cost centre controlling, you analyse costs and revenues of individual orders or projects.
You assist in assessing project statuses, post-calculations and financial deviations.
You prepare key figures, cost overviews and other business management evaluations for internal decision-makers.
You keep master data and accounting basics up to date and ensure high data quality.
You actively contribute to administrative and finance-related projects and support the optimisation of existing processes.
Qualifications:
Commercial basic training with further education in finance and accounting
Professional certificate in finance and accounting, higher vocational qualification or comparable qualification advantageous
Several years of professional experience in a broadly based accounting or finance function
Good knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger accounting
Experience with monthly or annual financial statements
Confident understanding of VAT and general accounting issues
Interest in cost accounting, project controlling and business management evaluations
Experience from construction, industry, technology or a project-oriented company is especially welcome
Good Excel skills and confident handling of a common ERP system
Very good German language skills in spoken and written form
Precise, structured and independent working style
Hands-on personality who enjoys linking numbers with the underlying business processes
