Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced professional as a Senior Construction Cost Planner / Construction Economist for the economic assessment and calculation of demanding building construction projects. You analyse projects in terms of costs, opportunities and risks and prepare reliable calculations based on preliminary quantities, key figures and contractor offers. During the tender phase, you coordinate planners and project participants, develop economically and technically optimised project variants and accompany the projects through to the tender and price negotiation. The position is situated in a professional general contractor/total contractor environment and combines sound construction knowledge with construction cost planning, calculation and construction economics.
Responsibilities:
Responsibility for construction cost planning and calculation of demanding building construction projects in the acquisition and tender phase
Analysis of project documents regarding cost potentials, opportunities, risks and economic feasibility
Preparation of detailed preliminary quantities and quantity determinations based on planning and BIM models
Determination and plausibility check of construction costs using key figures, experience values, contractor offers and current market prices
Creation and further development of cost estimates, cost calculations and general contractor/total contractor tender calculations
Use of digital tools such as DESITE, Bluebeam and Messerli for quantity determination, calculation and cost planning
Coordination and technical leadership of architects, specialist planners and other planning partners during the tender phase
Development and evaluation of project variants and value engineering solutions for technical and economic optimisation
Conducting request for quotations and tender comparisons as well as plausibility checks of contractor prices
Compilation of complete tender and offer dossiers including calculation bases and relevant project documentation
Preparation and support of price, award and contract negotiations with clients, contractors and project partners
Building and maintaining cost key figures and calculation bases for continuous improvement of construction cost planning
Qualifications:
Degree as Construction Manager HFP, Technician HF Construction Planning/Building Construction, Architect FH or Construction Engineer FH
Several years of professional experience in construction cost planning, calculation and/or construction management in Swiss building construction
Solid experience in the general contractor/total contractor environment as well as a holistic understanding of planning, tendering, awarding and realisation
Very good knowledge of cost determination, preliminary quantities, contractor offers and tender calculation
User knowledge of DESITE, Bluebeam and Messerli or comparable calculation and BIM tools
Sound knowledge of relevant BKP/eBKP systematics, NPK and SIA standards
Experience in the economic evaluation and optimisation of building construction projects and project variants
