Role:
On behalf of the client, we are seeking an experienced individual for the project management of demanding rail infrastructure projects in the Zurich area and German-speaking Switzerland. You will take on the technical and organisational responsibility for projects in new construction as well as maintenance of railway facilities and accompany these through the relevant SIA phases. You will coordinate various specialist services, experts, and project partners within multidisciplinary project organisations. Modern BIM and digital collaboration methods support efficient and seamless project processing.
Responsibilities:
Independent management and coordination of demanding rail and rail infrastructure projects
Handling of new construction, expansion, and maintenance projects through the relevant SIA phases
Responsibility for technical project execution as well as control of costs, schedules, quality, and resources
Development and technical leadership of design bases, technical concepts, reports, and planning documents
Coordination of specialist services, planners, and external experts within complex rail projects
Collaboration and project management within multidisciplinary project teams and engineering consortia
Coordination of technical interfaces between track, civil engineering, structures, trackbed, overhead line, and rail technology
Preparation and quality assurance of tender and submission documents as well as support in procurement procedures
Coordination with rail companies, clients, authorities, and other project stakeholders
Support of projects during tendering, realisation, commissioning, and handover
Application of BIM, digital project platforms, and model-based planning methods
Support in project controlling, resource planning, and risk management
Qualifications:
University degree as civil engineer FH/ETH/university or comparable technical education
At least 5 years of professional experience in project management of rail or rail infrastructure projects
Solid knowledge in design and execution of rail infrastructure projects
Knowledge of relevant Swiss standards, guidelines, and SIA processes in infrastructure and rail construction
Experience in coordinating specialist services, planners, and engineering consortia
Knowledge of BIM and digital planning and collaboration platforms is an advantage
Very good German language skills spoken and written
