Construction Manager Building Construction (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF120,000 - 130,000Role:
On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced individual for the management of demanding building construction projects in the Zurich area. You will coordinate the realisation from construction preparation to completion and be responsible for tenders, contracts, schedules, costs and quality. In addition to operational site management, you will take on construction accounting as well as defect and warranty management and provide professional support to junior construction managers. The position combines classic construction management with digital working methods in a professional general planning environment.
Responsibilities:
Independent construction management and coordination of building construction projects from preparation to completion
Control and coordination of contractors, specialist planners and other project participants during realisation
Preparation of specifications and tender documents for various trades
Conducting tenders, offer comparisons and award negotiations
Preparation, review and management of contracts and amendments
Creation, updating and monitoring of construction programmes and schedules
Responsibility for construction accounting, cost control, invoice verification and cost forecasts
Monitoring construction execution with regard to quality, execution planning, contracts and SIA standards
Leading construction meetings as well as managing minutes, pending and decision lists
Coordination of acceptances, commissioning and handovers to the client
Responsibility for defect management, warranty work and final accounts
Professional leadership and support of junior construction managers as well as application of digital methods in construction management
Qualifications:
Training as a certified construction manager, HF construction technician, FH/ETH architect, FH/ETH civil engineer or comparable qualification
Several years of professional experience in construction management of building projects, preferably in Switzerland
Solid experience in tendering, awarding, contract and contract management
Good knowledge of construction accounting, cost control, scheduling and change management
Knowledge of relevant SIA standards and Swiss construction processes
Experience with digital construction administration and project management methods
Fluent German language skills in spoken and written form
