About the job
The Company
For our client, a traditional Swiss company in the field of metal and cabinet solutions, we are looking for a technically skilled and versatile personality. The company develops and implements customised solutions and works closely with its own efficient production facility in Eastern Switzerland.
The position combines design with project management and practical relevance. Around 60% of your activity will be devoted to design. In addition, you will accompany projects, maintain contact with customers and internal departments, and assist with on-site implementation.
Your Tasks
- Design and technical development of customised solutions using SolidWorks
- Creation and preparation of the necessary design and manufacturing documents
- Technical planning and support of projects
- Coordination and advancement of ongoing projects internally and externally
- Assumption of tasks in project management and project leadership
- Technical clarifications and direct contact with customers
- Conducting site visits and surveys on location
- Support in procurement and material disposition
- Technical support for sales
- Accompanying and occasional assistance with installations
- Close collaboration with production
Your Profile
- Technical basic training, ideally as a certified designer EFZ or comparable qualification
- Experience in design and creation of technical documents
- Good CAD skills, experience with SolidWorks is an advantage
- Technical understanding and interest in practically feasible solutions
- Enjoyment of a versatile role beyond pure design
- Independent, flexible and solution-oriented working style
- Willingness to take responsibility for projects and their further development
- Enjoyment of direct contact with customers, suppliers and internal contacts
- Willingness for occasional assignments or site visits
We Offer
You can expect a versatile technical role where you are not exclusively working at the CAD workstation. You will accompany your projects beyond design and gain insight into planning, procurement, manufacturing and installation.
Especially during the induction period, you will also accompany the installation. This way, you will learn the products and their practical application from the ground up and can later directly incorporate this knowledge into your designs and project work.
The position is particularly suitable for a personality who enjoys designing, organising, coordinating and taking responsibility while maintaining a connection to practical implementation.
Colin Rhyner looks forward to receiving your application by email and is happy to take time for any questions.
