What we offer you.
As a train traffic controller, you keep the railway network assigned to you under control and from your workstation equipped with about eight screens, you coordinate and monitor the trains. Under normal operating conditions, you observe the traffic, manage operations and thus ensure smooth service. In case of disruptions, you take over operational management: you analyse the situation, initiate the necessary measures and resolve the problem so that normality is restored as quickly as possible. In this way, you share responsibility for mobility in Switzerland. Without you, the network stops. The work is systemically important and has an immediate impact: you coordinate people and technology, make quick decisions and directly contribute to the safety and reliability of rail traffic. We offer you a paid second training as a train traffic controller lasting eight months. After successfully passing the final exam, you will work in the Pollegio operations centre and help ensure that every day 9000 passenger trains and 2000 freight trains reach their destination safely and punctually. Find out more about the professional profile at the next information event . You consider irregular working hours and shift work as an opportunity to enjoy your free time while others work. With us, night and Sunday work is paid with an additional allowance: for example, 16 francs per hour for Sunday work. For night shifts, you also receive time supplements between 10 and 30%, allowing you more free time. You can find benefits such as free GA travelcard and discounted trips abroad (also for family) on our website at the Benefits page.
