Role:
In this role, you will dive deep into the world of software testing and actively contribute to ensuring the quality of modern applications from the outset. You will plan, execute, and document tests, using defined test methods and tools in a structured manner. You will analyse anomalies and errors, record your results precisely, and work closely with development and specialist departments to support sustainable solutions. You will be responsible for the continuous improvement of test cases and test processes by learning from each test run and identifying optimisation potentials. Step by step, you will build your expertise in software testing and develop into a reliable contact person for quality-assured software products.
Responsibilities:
- You conduct manual and automated tests of our DataGovernance software and further develop it.
- In this role, you create, maintain, and execute test cases, test plans, and test protocols.
- You make minor adjustments to existing test and automation processes.
- As a software testing specialist, you contribute to the maintenance and further development of our CI/CD and testing pipeline.
- You analyse and report test results, pipeline errors, and unusual software behaviour.
- In this role, you work closely with software development, system engineering, and product managers.
Qualifications:
- Education, studies, or initial professional experience related to computer science, software engineering, business informatics, system engineering, or a related technical field
- Solid programming skills in an object-oriented language, ideally in C#, .NET, or a comparable technology
- Interest in software quality, test automation, and technical contexts, as well as a high willingness to learn and enthusiasm for the subject
- Understanding of test principles such as test doubles, test lifecycle and scope, statelessness, and reproducibility (idempotence, immutability)
- Basic understanding of SOLID principles and software architecture, for example clear test boundaries, loose coupling, and separation of concerns
- Careful, structured, and solution-oriented working style as well as very good German and good English skills
