Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for a specialist as a Civil Engineer in Civil Engineering / Road Construction for the planning and realisation of versatile infrastructure projects. You will work on projects in general civil engineering and road construction from the initial study through design and tendering to execution and commissioning. Your main tasks include concept development, technical calculations, tenders, and project coordination, as well as, with appropriate experience, taking on site management. The position is suitable both for ambitious career starters and experienced civil engineers who wish to deepen their expertise in infrastructure construction.
Responsibilities:
Planning and design of civil engineering, road construction, and infrastructure projects from study to commissioning
Development of concepts, variant studies, preliminary designs, construction designs, and execution documents
Carrying out technical calculations and clarifications as well as developing project-specific solutions
Planning and dimensioning of roads, access routes, utility lines, and municipal infrastructure facilities
Preparation of tenders, specifications, and tender documents
Technical review and evaluation of contractor offers as well as support in awarding processes
Coordination with clients, authorities, specialist planners, utility companies, and external project partners
Responsibility for cost, schedule, and quality control within the assigned projects
Depending on experience, taking on local site management including site inspections and construction meetings
Processing of quantities, approvals, construction accounts, and project documentation
Ensuring the application of relevant SIA and VSS standards as well as Swiss guidelines in civil and road construction
Qualifications:
Completed studies as a Civil Engineer FH/ETH with interest or specialisation in civil and infrastructure construction
Career starters with corresponding FH/ETH education are as welcome as specialists with several years of professional experience
Expertise or practical experience in general civil engineering, road construction and/or utility construction
Knowledge in design, technical calculations, tendering and procurement
Good knowledge of relevant SIA and VSS standards as well as Swiss planning and construction processes is an advantage
User knowledge of common CAD, calculation and design programmes
Very good German language skills for technical documentation and collaboration with project participants
