About the job
For our client, a technically specialised company in the field of industrial automation, we are looking for an experienced individual as an Automation Engineer / PLC Programmer. You will develop software solutions for sophisticated machines and automated production systems and accompany your projects from technical conception to commissioning. You will be given a great deal of responsibility and work closely with other departments as well as directly with customers.
- Programming and further development of user interfaces as well as interfaces to drive and peripheral systems
- Development of technical software architectures and definition of suitable automation solutions together with project participants
- Implementation of safety functions and consideration of relevant requirements within the control software
- Independent technical handling of automation projects across several project phases
- Conducting tests, error analyses and optimisations of the developed software
- Accompanying commissioning at the customer’s site and supporting technical adjustments on site
- Further training at HF/FH level is an advantage
- Sound knowledge in programming Siemens controllers (TIA Portal, Beckhoff or B&R)
- Independent, solution-oriented working style and enthusiasm for new technologies
- Fluent German language skills
- Technically demanding automation projects with a high degree of responsibility
- Significant influence on the technical implementation from the concept phase to commissioning
- Varied tasks between software development, engineering and customer projects
- Direct exchange with experienced specialists and short decision-making paths

Profile
- Completed technical basic training, e.g. as an electronics technician EFZ, automation technician EFZ, electrical installer EFZ or comparable- Further training at HF/FH level is an advantage

- Independent, solution-oriented working style and enthusiasm for new technologies
- Fluent German language skills
