About the job
The Schaffhausen Hospitals include the Cantonal Hospital, the Psychiatric Services, the Radiology and Cardiology Posthof Neuhausen practices, as well as the Neurology Practice Schaffhausen Centre. With over 1,700 employees, we ensure the extended medical and nursing basic care of the Schaffhausen region. Each year, we care for approximately 11,000 inpatients and 90,000 outpatients. Additionally, we are an important training centre in the canton.
For the porter lodge / reception of the Cantonal Hospital, we are looking for a staff member on an hourly wage basis from 1 November 2026 or by arrangement, limited until 31 July 2027
Porter Staff Member
What Awaits You
- Providing information to patients, visitors and staff during 24 hours in a 3-shift operation
- Operating the telephone switchboard outside regular working hours
- Monitoring/operating security and alarm systems
- Various administrative tasks, including case opening and patient data
- Working hours: 06:30-14:40, 14:30-22:40 or 22:30-06:40
(all shifts must be covered) - Working days: Monday - Sunday
What You Bring to Us
- Commercial basic training or professional experience in a similar position
- Flexibility for irregular working hours and assignments, especially night shifts
- Good IT user skills
- Resilience and independence
- Neat appearance and strong service orientation
- Very good German skills, additional foreign language skills desired
