The Clinic for Acute Geriatrics specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of elderly patients with complex medical conditions. We combine acute medicine with early rehabilitation and pursue a holistic treatment approach with the goal of enabling a return home. As a certified training centre, we offer you a broad learning environment.
We are looking for a junior assistant starting immediately or by arrangement.
Who we are
Your tasks
- Would you like to actively support us in everyday hospital life and gain an in-depth insight into a wide range of practical internal medicine, neurological and gerontopsychiatric conditions?
- Participation in clinical routine in the acute hospital and, if interested, also in acute and transitional care at the Adlergarten retirement home
- Familiarisation with curative, preventive, rehabilitative and palliative treatment approaches
- Patient care, participation in ward rounds, reports and interprofessional geriatric assessment
- Taking on your own tasks under the guidance of experienced doctors
Your profile
- Enrolled medical student
- Student in the elective study year (CH) or in the practical year or student at the time of the clinical traineeship in the 4th year of study or 2nd clinical year
- German language skills at least B2 level
- Minimum internship duration of 4 weeks
