Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced professional as Project Manager Infrastructure Construction / Civil Engineering for the planning and realisation of demanding infrastructure projects in Eastern Switzerland. You will accompany projects in civil, road and utility construction from the initial project idea through planning and tendering to realisation and commissioning. You will take responsibility for costs, deadlines, quality and project controlling and coordinate collaboration with clients, authorities, specialist planners and executing companies. The position combines sound engineering planning with independent project management and direct consulting of public and private clients.
Responsibilities:
Independent project management of infrastructure and civil engineering projects from project development to commissioning
Planning and design of road, development and utility projects as well as other municipal infrastructure facilities
Processing and management of projects through the relevant SIA phases from preliminary study and preliminary project to tendering and realisation
Responsibility for schedule planning, financial planning, project budgets and project controlling
Preparation and monitoring of cost estimates, cost quotations and cost forecasts
Coordination of clients, authorities, utility owners, specialist planners, project engineers and draftsmen
Planning and coordination of utilities, drainage systems, route corridors and road infrastructure
Preparation of tender and submission documents according to NPK/CRB as well as support for bid comparison and awarding
Ensuring structured quality, schedule and risk management within the projects managed
Advising clients on technical, economic and organisational issues and developing suitable project variants
Technical coordination of internal project engineers and draftsmen and ensuring complete planning documents
Ensuring planning according to relevant SIA and VSS standards as well as Swiss civil engineering and infrastructure regulations
Qualifications:
Completed studies as Civil Engineer FH/ETH or comparable construction technical qualification
2-5 years professional experience in project management of civil engineering or infrastructure projects
Sound knowledge in civil, road, utility and/or municipal infrastructure construction
Experience in planning, cost planning, schedule control and project controlling
Knowledge of tendering and submission according to NPK/CRB as well as relevant SIA and VSS standards
Experience in coordinating clients, authorities, utility owners and interdisciplinary planning teams
Very good German language skills for project processing, client consulting and authority contacts
