Tasks
Collecting rubbish: Together with your colleagues, you collect the waste of the city of Basel and bring it to the waste disposal facility. For this work, a state-of-the-art electric refuse collection vehicle is usually available.
Cleaning public commons: With wet and dry cleaning, you help to keep the city of Basel clean and hygienic.
Providing winter services: During winter service, you are ready to be on call and ensure snow-free footpaths and BVB stops.
Profile
Experience: You have experience with physical work and are accustomed to working outdoors.
Personality: With your reliability and flexibility, you contribute to a smooth workflow. Your ability to integrate into an existing team is a prerequisite for fulfilling the daily tasks.
Education: You have completed your schooling and hold a category B driving licence.
Language: Thanks to your good knowledge of German, you are able to communicate easily within the team and maintain respectful interaction with the public.

The Civil Engineering Office coordinates, plans, builds, documents and maintains the roads with the associated infrastructures and is responsible for the public sewage systems. It is responsible for flood protection and safe traffic routes. It also coordinates the use of public spaces and is the lead authority in the approval process. It collects and disposes of waste and ensures cleanliness in the city of Basel. The Civil Engineering Office makes an important contribution to a high quality of life in Basel and is part of the Department of Construction and Transport.
