About the job
The University Clinic for Human Genetics provides extensive and interdisciplinary services in the field of genetic consultation and diagnostics and is scientifically integrated into the Department of Clinical Research. We are a Category A training centre with full authorisation (4 years) for specialist training in Medical Genetics.
What to expect
As part of patient care, we run a lively outpatient clinic covering the entire spectrum of genetic diagnostics/advice from the prenatal period to late adulthood. In addition to the general Medical Genetics clinic, we operate several interdisciplinary specialist clinics together with colleagues from other disciplines at the Inselspital (e.g. Cardiology, Dermatology, Nephrology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, etc.). Besides our work in the outpatient sector, we are also responsible for the consultative assessment/clarification of inpatients both in the paediatric clinics and in various adult clinics.
What you bring
- Swiss medical diploma or equivalent qualification, specialist title in Human Genetics/Medical Genetics
- Ideally several years of professional experience
- Openness, collegiality and willingness to integrate into the existing team and actively collaborate with the medical staff of other hospital clinics
- Team spirit and enthusiasm for personal development
- Interest in scientific questions
- Proficiency in German with good knowledge of English and, if possible, French
