Purchasing Manager Coffee Sector (m/f/d)
Responsibilities
- Anticipating trends, innovations and customer-relevant topics
- Close collaboration with the Purchasing Product Manager Breakfast in developing the assortment and format strategy including the development of own concepts and private labels in the coffee sector
- Co-responsible for supplier management/business partner portfolio regarding their selection, collaboration and development
- Conducting terms negotiations with international, national and regional suppliers
- Building transparent and long-term oriented value chains for private label coffee in line with Coop’s sustainability strategy
- Maintaining relationships with cooperatives and partners on site in the countries of origin
- Independent management of speciality coffees
- Collaboration with Betty Bossi for the further development and quality assurance of our private labels and leading a coffee panel
Requirements
- Completed studies (university, university of applied sciences) in business administration, food sciences, sustainability or similar
- Professional experience in category management and/or procurement
- Strong affinity for coffee and passion for the product desired
- High degree of initiative and sense of responsibility, as well as strong analytical skills
- Negotiation-strong personality accustomed to working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities
- Strong sustainability affinity
- Willingness to travel
- Fluent German in spoken and written form as well as good English skills, Spanish skills desirable
- Very good MS Office skills, SAP knowledge advantageous
