Network Engineer Internship (80-100%) - 1542
Ensuring electricity in Switzerland
In this exciting position, you are responsible for various tasks within the Network Services Team in the IT Infrastructure department. In particular, you will undertake the following tasks:
- Performing IOS upgrades on routers and switches including preparation, implementation, functional checks, and documentation
- Cleanups to stabilise and tidy the network environment
- Analysis and correction of incorrectly assigned systems/servers (moving from outdated or incorrect subzones to the designated target subzones) considering standards and dependencies.
- Coordination and alignment with several internal teams (e.g. for planning, scheduling, and implementation) in a project-oriented approach.
- Carrying out lifecycle measures on routers and switches (replacement/renewal according to specifications) including planning, execution, and follow-up
- Participation in the implementation of Cisco ACI upgrades (upgrade preparation, coordination, implementation steps, quality assurance)
- Creation or adjustment of processes (such as new installation, decommissioning, etc.)

For this position, we are looking for a team player with a reliable, structured, and quality-conscious working style who possesses analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills. You bring the following:
- Degree (FH Bachelor/Master or HF) in computer science/telecommunications or an equivalent qualification
- Good knowledge of IP address management
- Experience with Cisco devices is an advantage
- Affinity for the network area (routing, switching, wireless LAN)
- Good German and English skills
