For the Datacenter, Server and Storage team, we are looking for a proactive individual from 01.09.2026 or by arrangement who wants to make a difference. In the role as Head of Datacenter, Server and Storage, you have the opportunity to actively shape the hospital infrastructure of the future. You can expect a motivated and well-established team of seven employees.
Who we are
Your tasks
- Professional, personnel and financial leadership as well as further development of your team
- Responsibility for the stable, secure and economical operation of the server, storage, backup and virtualisation platforms
- Planning, operation and continuous development of the datacenter infrastructure
- Strategic planning and management of capacities, lifecycle management and technology roadmaps
- Ensuring professional and customer-oriented support for end users and the ICT service desk
- Active participation in infrastructure projects and implementation of technical innovations
- Supervision, management and further development of collaboration with suppliers and external partners
- Close cooperation with IT security in planning and implementing measures to ensure operational IT security
- As a leader, you are close to the team and support your employees in operational operations if necessary
- Occasional assumption of the role as Duty Manager within the on-call service
Your profile
- Solid IT education and training (IT specialist EFZ, HF, FH, federal diploma or a comparable qualification)
- Several years of leadership and professional experience in the field of datacenter, server and storage or in a comparable function
- You know how to motivate and develop your team and maintain an appreciative and solution-oriented leadership style
- Several years of experience in complex, heterogeneous IT infrastructures
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft Windows Server environment
- Extensive experience in infrastructure, transformation and deployment projects as well as in the areas of server, virtualisation, storage and IT security
- Experience with Kubernetes or other container platforms is an advantage
- Experience in supplier and partner management
- Experience in license management as well as in conducting tenders and procurements in the ICT environment is an advantage
- You communicate confidently in German and have good English skills
- You are a team-oriented personality with a high sense of responsibility and quality awareness as well as a pronounced hands-on mentality
