Senior Cloud Engineer (m/f/d)
Role:
You want to actively shape modern cloud and data centre platforms and take responsibility for their operation and further development? In this role, you work on innovative infrastructure and cloud solutions, automate operational processes, and support partners and customers with your technical expertise.
Responsibilities:
You work closely with IT partners throughout the entire project duration and accompany technical implementations.
You ensure the stable, secure, and high-performance operation of modern cloud platforms.
You handle demanding 2nd-level support cases and analyse complex technical faults.
You develop new cloud services and platform functions and continuously optimise existing infrastructures.
You automate operational processes and actively drive the standardisation of the infrastructure.
You support partners and customers in storage and infrastructure projects as well as technical services.
You actively contribute to the further development of modern platform and cloud architectures.
Qualifications:
You have completed IT training and/or have several years of experience in cloud, data centre, or infrastructure engineering.
You are familiar with virtualisation and orchestration platforms such as VMware, Nutanix, Hyper-V, Proxmox, OpenStack, or KVM.
You bring experience with software-defined networking as well as cloud management and monitoring solutions.
You program or automate with PowerShell or Python.
You have know-how in several areas such as networking, firewalls, VPN, storage, backup, disaster recovery, or zero-trust architectures.
You have experience with REST APIs and modern integration solutions.
Ideally, you have knowledge of Kubernetes, container technologies, infrastructure as code, VDI solutions, or cloud security.
You communicate confidently in German and English.
