At night, you ensure a safe and stable environment in the child and adolescent psychiatry of the University Psychiatric Centre Bern (UPZ). You attentively accompany young people through the night, recognise changes early and act independently and responsibly. You can expect a varied role with a lot of personal responsibility and a special work rhythm.

Your tasks
- You ensure professional and safe nursing care of the young people during the night
- You carefully observe the condition and behaviour of the young people, recognise changes early and initiate appropriate measures if necessary
- You are a reliable contact person for the young people and accompany them calmly, appreciatively and professionally even in challenging situations
- You act independently, responsibly and in accordance with applicable standards and agreements in emergency and crisis situations
- You carry out necessary nursing interventions and ensure complete and professional documentation
- You ensure a professional flow of information between night and day shifts and reliably hand over relevant observations and events to the following team
- You collaborate with the responsible specialists and medical service if required
- Within the on-call organisation, you also take on assignments on other wards of the child and adolescent psychiatry
Your profile
- You have a qualification as a qualified nurse HF/FH or an equivalent education
- Ideally, you have experience working with adolescents and young adults
- You enjoy working independently and taking responsibility during the night
- You are attentive, decisive and remain calm and composed even in demanding or unforeseen situations
- You have high social and professional competence and treat young people appreciatively, clearly and professionally
- You have good IT user skills and are confident in electronic documentation
- You are willing to work regularly at weekends and to take on on-call duties on other wards of the child and adolescent psychiatry
- You can provide a clean criminal record (private and special private extract)
- You have very good German language skills in spoken and written form; any additional language is a plus
