The University of Neuchâtel is advertising a position for
Administrative Assistant 80%
to be filled within the Secretariat of the Institute of Computer Science (40%) and the Institute of Chemistry (40%) at the Faculty of Science.
Activities
You will work under the supervision of the director of each institute. You will support the academic teams and research staff in their administrative tasks. You will actively collaborate in the varied missions of the institutes, including: reception of the institute secretariat and providing information; drafting documents; managing files and deadlines; accounting and contractual follow-ups; hiring collaborators and monitoring annual contract renewals; supporting the obtaining of visas and residence permits for foreign staff; contributing to the organisation of examination sessions; managing website content; partial management of student files for the Institute of Computer Science; active collaboration between institutes and other bodies of the faculty and university.
Requirements
Holding a Federal VET Diploma as a commercial employee or an equivalent qualification, you are proficient in French, have writing skills as well as very good knowledge of English both spoken and written; a minimum of B2 is required. You possess excellent knowledge of MS Office tools and the Adobe suite as well as an aptitude for learning new software. You have a minimum of two years’ experience in managing files, either in a team or independently. Knowledge of the academic field is an asset. Naturally autonomous, you have a sense of responsibility and organisation and demonstrate precision and rigour in carrying out your tasks. With analytical and synthesis skills, you are a dynamic, collegial person comfortable interacting with all audiences.
Starting date: 1 October 2026 or by agreement.
