Senior Payroll Specialist (m/f/d)
Role:
In this role, you will take on the professional leadership in payroll accounting for several client mandates with a focus on temporary personnel services and ensure correct, timely remuneration in compliance with all legal requirements. You will work closely with your contacts and bear responsibility for the professional, legally compliant handling of payroll processes. You will actively shape how digitalisation and AI are used and further developed in payroll processes. Responsibilities:
- You lead a team of payroll specialists from recruitment through onboarding to performance development
- In this role, you ensure correct, timely, and collective labour agreement-compliant payroll accounting for several client mandates
- As team leader payroll accounting, you monitor compliance with legal requirements in the payroll area, including withholding tax and VAT aspects
- You handle complex special cases in payroll accounting, such as overtime, deductions, or tax-related issues
- In this role, you are responsible for the complete accounts receivable accounting and work closely with the financial accounting department
- As team leader payroll accounting, you drive the digitalisation of payroll processes, including the use of AI-supported tools for automation and error detection
Qualifications:
- You hold a Swiss federal certificate in human resources or payroll or a comparable qualification such as a degree in business administration or HR
- You have several years of professional experience in payroll administration and/or accounting, ideally in a leadership position and in the personnel services industry
- You have a solid knowledge of legal requirements in payroll, especially in social security, tax, and labour law
- You demonstrate strong leadership skills and are able to motivate and develop a team
- You communicate confidently and fluently in German, English, and French and possess excellent interpersonal skills
- You are proficient with MS Office and common payroll software and enjoy using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Copilot to increase efficiency
