Team Leader: Cleaning Services Centre

The sector includes, among others, the departments of cleaning, laundry and bed supply, as well as wardrobe management. In the Cleaning Services Centre department, you and your team work in the dynamic hospital environment and close to the action. In this demanding setting, you ensure the highest hygiene and quality standards. You combine operational leadership with organisational skills and make a direct contribution to patient safety.

What to expect

• You take on the leadership of a cleaning team of around 30 people in the hospital daily routine and ensure a smooth, efficient process with your presence on site. You are supported by the deputy team leaders.
• You assume the professional and personnel leadership including deployment planning, coaching and further development of your team.
• You plan, coordinate and control maintenance, isolation and interim cleaning according to hospital hygiene requirements.
• You ensure consistently high cleaning quality and compliance with all hygiene regulations.
• You actively drive improvements and optimise processes, quality and efficiency in your area of responsibility.
• You support your team operationally if necessary and show flexibility in the working day (including weekend shifts).

What you bring

• Completed basic training (EFZ) in cleaning, housekeeping or building cleaning.
• Several years of professional experience in healthcare (approx. 3-5 years), ideally with leadership experience.
• Advantageous: Higher professional qualification, e.g. as area manager in hotel-housekeeping EFA or building cleaning specialist EFA.
• Enjoyment in leading a multicultural team as well as the ability to motivate and develop employees.
• Structured, reliable and resilient personality with a strong service orientation as well as a discreet, loyal and flexible working style.
• Pragmatic hands-on mentality as well as good German skills (at least C1) and confident PC user skills (MS Office).
