Automation Technicians for the Department of Infrastructure
The Directorate of Construction, Engineering, Technical and Safety at CHUV is looking for two automation technicians with a workload between 80% and 100% to complete its team. The starting date is planned for 1 August 2026 or to be agreed.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research and education.
The Directorate of Construction, Engineering, Technical and Safety at CHUV (CIT-S) has as its main activities the operation, maintenance, construction, engineering, technical assistance and consulting within its extensive property portfolio of more than 40 buildings on the main hospital site.
The 3 main missions of the Directorate of Construction, Engineering, Technical and Safety (CIT-S):
- Construction and modernisation: ensuring the study and realisation of architectural projects, as well as the renovation of technical installations.
- Operation: ensuring the maintenance of all technical and biomedical equipment, as well as the infrastructure of CHUV and its affiliates. Guaranteeing the production and distribution of fluids and energies necessary for all medical, research, technical and administrative activities.
- Protection and safety: ensuring the protection of property and persons.
Mission
- You are responsible for the maintenance and operation of electromechanical installations (autoclaves, pneumatic transports, kitchen equipment, automatic doors, stacker cranes, AGVs, etc.)
- You study projects, supervise and accept installation works of equipment in the hospital city.
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as an automation technician or an equivalent recognised qualification
- You have knowledge and initial experience in the maintenance of hospital equipment
- You can read and understand plans and/or diagrams
- You are proficient in basic computer software (Word, Excel, etc.)
- You are required to perform on-call and standby duties on site
- Your place of residence is within 45 minutes of the workplace (required due to on-call and standby duties)
- You hold a category B driving licence.
