Service Technician Mechanical Engineering (m/f/d)
Role:
As a service technician in mechanical and plant engineering, you are responsible for the technical support of modern machines at customers in Switzerland as well as internationally. You carry out maintenance, repairs and commissioning, analyse faults and ensure reliable plant operation with your expertise. In doing so, you act as a competent contact person in direct communication with customers and support them with technical questions as well as the optimal use of their systems.
Responsibilities:
Carrying out maintenance and repair work on machines and technical systems
Analysing, diagnosing and sustainably resolving faults on site at the customer
Supporting customers via telephone and email support
Conducting inspections and technical pre-acceptance at the company site
Installation, commissioning and training of customer personnel on machines and systems
Accompanying customers with technical queries and optimisations
Documenting service assignments and reporting technical findings
Collaborating with internal specialist departments to continuously improve system solutions
Carrying out national and international service assignments with approx. 40-50% travel activity
Qualifications:
Completed vocational training in electronics, electrical engineering or mechanics, for example as an automation technician or polymechanic with a federal certificate of competence (EBA)
Professional experience in mechanical engineering or automation technology is an advantage
Good technical knowledge in pneumatics, drive technology and PLC controls
Understanding of complex machine processes and industrial operations
Independent, proactive and well-organised working style
Analytical thinking and solution-oriented approach to technical challenges
Strong customer orientation and enjoyment of direct contact with users
Responsible personality with team spirit and high commitment
Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
Good English skills for communication with international customers
Additional foreign language skills are an advantage
Fluent German skills
