The fsa achieves this goal by informing and advocating for their interests with the public, advising and raising awareness, as well as promoting innovative technologies.
We are looking for 1 January 2027 (or by agreement) for our counselling service in Fribourg a
Social Worker at 40% (m/f/d)
If you wish to work at a higher rate, it is possible to combine this position with that of Rehabilitation Worker in the Low Vision field at 40%, also open for application for our counselling service.
Your workplace is located in the centre of the city of Fribourg. You will work within a motivated and committed team of 8 people and support them in assisting those affected.
Your tasks
- Advising blind and visually impaired people and their relatives.
- Initiating and following up administrative procedures related to social benefits to which visually impaired persons may be entitled.
- Coordinating rehabilitation procedures with various stakeholders (Low Vision specialists / Orientation and Mobility / Activities of Daily Living / Job coaching, doctors, schools, employers, insurance companies).
- Providing personalised support and assistance in social and professional rehabilitation procedures.
- Informing the public and specialised circles about the needs of blind and visually impaired people and representing them before authorities and specialised bodies.
Your profile
- University of Applied Sciences degree or equivalent as a social worker.
- Several years of professional experience as a social worker.
- Native German or French speaker with very good knowledge of the other language (bilingual activity).
- Good knowledge of social insurance (disability insurance / old-age and survivors' insurance in particular).
- Experience in supporting and rehabilitating people with disabilities.
- Interest in multidisciplinary and networked work.
- Ability to resolve complex situations related to social and professional integration.
- Knowledge of the Fribourg medico-social network.
- You hold a driving licence.
