Data Scientist 80-100% (m/f/d)

As a first-tier supplier to our renowned business partner F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd. in Basel, we are currently looking for a motivated and dedicated Data Scientist for a temporary assignment of 12 months.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Model Development
• Design and build MVDA models for Drug Substance manufacturing processes
• Responsible for the end-to-end technical creation of the model structure
• Data Pre-processing & Curation
• Apply rigorous data modeling techniques
• Ensuring that raw process data is correctly pre-processed to prevent false positive/false negative results
• Validation & Maintenance
• Execute formal validation protocols to demonstrate model suitability
• Responsible for maintaining the lifecycle of these models, ensuring they remain accurate over time as process baselines evolve

Must-Haves

• Ideally a PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemometrics, Statistics, or Biotechnology. Alternatively a Bachelor or Master's degree combined with relevant work experience
• Min. 2 years experience in statistics
• First professional/industry experiences
• Min. B2/C1 level in English and German

• Familiarity with Open-DCP or similar modeling frameworks (e.g., SIMCA)
• Knowledge of the R programming language for statistical computing
• Experience with Aveva PI System Explorer (OSIsoft) for data retrieval
