Operations Manager (m/f) 100% Gastronomy Region Basel
Your tasks:
In this versatile role, you will take responsibility for the operational management and further development of our establishments in the Basel region. At the same time, you will work closely with the central corporate management and support it in overarching organisational, operational and strategic tasks.
- Operational management, support and control of the assigned establishments with a focus on profitability, productivity and quality
- Analysis of business management key figures and derivation as well as implementation of appropriate measures
- Ensuring budget compliance and consistent pursuit of jointly defined goals
- Support of the management in operational, organisational and strategic matters
- Independent assumption of projects and special tasks as well as their implementation and coordination
- Identifying optimisation potential and actively further developing processes and structures
- Monitoring current trends and creatively implementing suitable concepts and ideas in the establishments
- Conducting employee interviews, training sessions and information events in the region
- Support in recruiting employees and ensuring our training standards
- Active operational support and management of an establishment in emergency situations or as holiday cover
- Regular exchange with management and weekly assignments in the Basel region including strategy discussions
- Representation of Berest AG towards employees, partners and other stakeholders
Your profile:
- Training at a hotel management school HF/FH or a comparable business or hospitality qualification
- Several years of experience in the operational management of several gastronomy or hotel establishments or in a comparable managerial position
- Experience in leading and developing employees
- Entrepreneurial thinking and a strong understanding of business management contexts
- Very good numerical understanding and enjoyment of working with key figures
- Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style
- High initiative, organisational talent and the ability to set priorities correctly
- Confident and effective appearance as well as pronounced communication skills
- Willingness to travel regularly within Switzerland and occasional weekend assignments
- Very good German skills; English and French skills are an advantage
- Broad gastronomy network and residence in the Basel region are advantageous
- Enjoyment of gastronomy, people and a dynamic environment
