Health and Social Department
The Child and Adult Protection Authority in the canton of Appenzell Innerrhoden is responsible for protecting children and adults who cannot adequately protect themselves. It intervenes when the welfare of children is at risk or when adults, for example due to illness, accident, or age, require support.
The Child and Adult Protection Authority is seeking an authority member with a specialisation in Social Work or Law for a 30% position starting 1 September 2026 or by arrangement.
Your Tasks
- Conducting investigations and assessing risk potential
- Contact with third-party authorities in the context of fact-finding
- Hearing and ensuring the right to be heard
- Drafting decisions
- Editorial responsibility for assigned decisions
- Handling cases involving statutory measures
- Applications for immediate measures, decisions within the scope of precautionary measures
- Providing expert information by telephone or at the counter
- Supervision and controlling of assigned measures
- Formulating expert report commissions
Your Profile
- Tertiary degree (university/FH) in law, social work, or a comparable field
- Professional experience in child and adult protection
- Resilient and independent personality with a goal-oriented, decisive, and efficient working style and a high sense of responsibility
