Cleanroom Technician

For one of our prestigious clients, we are looking for a Cleanroom Technician for a one-year temporary assignment based in Geneva / Border area.

Job Presentation

• Contract type: One-year temporary assignment (from 01.10.2026 to 30.09.2027)
• Working hours: 40 hours per week (100% on site, no remote work)
• Location: Geneva

Detailed description of tasks

1. Activities in Cleanroom (ISO 5):

• Preparation and quality control of parts in the cleanroom following the established protocol.
• Cleaning, packaging and wrapping of parts according to protocol.
• Performing particle counting in the cleanroom.
• Setting up parts for assemblies and inspection/release of parts after assemblies.
• Monitoring consumables and maintaining operational status of the work area (tidying, cleaning, cleanliness control).

2. Activities Outside the Cleanroom & Technical Support:

• Logistical tracking of batches of parts through various internal departments and buildings (workshops, chemistry, storage areas, SRF buildings).
• Inspection and preparation of parts before entering the cleanroom for packaging.
• Support for preparation, installation, cleaning, packaging and verification of tools/equipment to be used in the cleanroom.
• Liaison and external support for personnel working in the cleanroom (inbound and outbound flow of parts/equipment).
• Reading 2D plans to establish batches of parts.
• Inventory and stock monitoring of parts for tooling and sub-assemblies (HIE-ISOLDE project).
• Maintaining work areas (tidying, assisting with layout, cleaning test areas).

3. Handling & Layout:

• Handling storage crates using pallet trucks (manual or electric).
• Support to transport teams for moving specialised equipment and tooling.
• Setting up shelving and various handling tasks for arranging work areas (cabinets, tables, pallets, boxes).

Profile sought

• Required experience: Minimum 3 months of concrete experience in a dust-controlled cleanroom (non-medical).
• Training: Laboratory technician in physics, knowledge in mechanics / electromechanics, or specific training for working in a clean environment.
• Skills & Assets:
• Experience working calmly under full-body suit in a cleanroom.
• Proficiency in reading 2D plans.
• Experience in handling and working on elevated platforms (a European elevated platform licence is a real advantage; internal training will be provided).
• Driving licence: Category B licence mandatory (driving manual transmission service vehicles).
• Languages: French (advanced / fluent). Basic English is accepted.
• Personal qualities: Rigour, autonomy, proactivity, flexibility for multitasking and ability to work in a team.

Physical conditions & Work environment

• Physical position: Ability to stand between 90% and 100% of working time, occasional squatting (1 to 2 hours).
• Environment: ISO 5 dust-controlled cleanrooms, classical electromechanical laboratories, and occasional interventions in controlled zones (with personal dosimeter provided).
