Tasks

• Procurement of technical components, spare parts and services
• Obtaining, evaluating and comparing offers
• Conducting price and contract negotiations
• Selection, qualification and development of suppliers
• Maintenance of purchasing and material master data in SAP R/3
• Monitoring delivery dates and initiating escalation measures
• Conducting market and price analyses
• Participation in cost optimisation and procurement projects
• Close cooperation with engineering, production, logistics and quality management
• Preparation of evaluations and reports from SAP R/3

Requirements

• Completed technical or commercial training with appropriate further education (e.g. Technical Salesperson, Purchasing Specialist, Business Administration HF/FH)
• Several years of professional experience in technical purchasing, ideally in mechanical engineering, plant construction or industrial environment
• Sound knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management and contract law
• Experience in price and contract negotiations
• Very good knowledge of SAP R/3, especially the MM module (Material Management)
• Confident handling of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of material planning, inventory management and master data maintenance
