In this position, you develop and implement customised automation solutions for industrial processes and accompany projects from the initial concept phase to successful commissioning. You combine technical understanding, software competence, and project responsibility to implement efficient and sustainable control solutions. You work closely with customers and internal departments, ensure knowledge transfer, and actively contribute to the further development of modern process automation systems.
Responsibilities:
Analysis of customer requirements and development of individual automation concepts for industrial processes
Independent management of automation projects throughout the entire lifecycle - from planning and implementation to commissioning
Development, adaptation, and optimisation of software solutions for process automation systems
Programming and configuration of control platforms such as Siemens TIA Portal, Unified, SIMATIC PCS7 and ProLeit
Conducting software tests as well as commissioning directly on site at the customer
Analysis and resolution of technical challenges during project implementation and operation
Creation, maintenance, and further development of technical documentation for operation, maintenance, and training
Support of customers and internal teams through targeted knowledge transfer and technical consulting
Participation in the further development of automation standards and digital process solutions
Qualifications:
Completed technical basic training in electrical engineering, for example as an automation technician, electrician, or comparable
Further education at HF/FH level in electrical engineering, automation, or a related field
Several years of experience in implementing process automation projects
Solid knowledge in programming TIA Portal and Unified
Experience with SIMATIC PCS7 and/or ProLeit is an advantage
Experience in realising, optimising, and commissioning industrial automation systems
Willingness for occasional customer assignments and commissioning within the country
Willingness for regular remote on-call duties
Strong interconnected thinking as well as a flexible, open, and solution-oriented working style
Strategic understanding and enjoyment of complex technical issues
Good English skills are an advantage
Fluent German skills
