Head of Medical Technology 80-100%
Your tasks – our position
- Professional and personnel management of the Medical Technology department, which is responsible for medical technology in the hospital and its external locations
- Ensuring the availability of all medical technology devices through targeted planning of maintenance, replacement and new acquisitions
- Planning and coordination of maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, revisions and optimisations of medical technology
- Implementation and assurance of compliance with standards, guidelines and legal regulations (e.g. Medical Devices Regulation, IEC standards)
- Communication and collaboration: contact person for own specialist area, close cooperation with other departments, participation and coordination in projects
- Taking on on-call duties in rotation, including standby and weekend duties, to ensure rapid and effective resolution of technical problems or emergencies in hospital operations
Your skills – our requirements
- Technical basic training (e.g. medical technology or electrical engineering) with further studies in the relevant field (medical technology, biomechanics)
- Several years of professional and leadership experience in a comparable position in medical technology, ideally in a hospital or service sector
- Positive and appreciative leadership style, as well as strong communication skills
- Very good knowledge of relevant medical technology standards, legal standards, guidelines and requirements, as well as experience in practical implementation (MepV, MPG, IEC standards)
- Analytical, structured and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving, as well as experience in leading technical projects
- Organisational talent, resilience and the ability to work in a dynamic environment
- Language skills: native German or French speaker, at least B2 level in the other language and willing to deepen these language skills, technical English skills
- Driving licence: category B or willing to obtain it
- Residence: within approximately 30 minutes of Biel
