The Medical Outpatient Clinic is the regional interdisciplinary assessment centre for unclear complex clinical pictures. The treatment of the referred outpatient patients requires knowledge of the entire spectrum of internal medicine. The focus is on close interdisciplinary collaboration with all specialist disciplines of the KSW and the general practitioners in the region.
In addition to specialisations in the field of inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, we have also established specialist consultations such as hypertension, osteology and vaccination consultations including travel advice; this is complemented by the performance of sonographies and punctures. Furthermore, the occupational medical service for the KSW and external institutions is integrated into the Medical Outpatient Clinic.
How we are
Your tasks
- Supervision, support and training of internal medicine assistant physicians
- Running your own consultation hours, possibly establishing your own specialist consultation
- Participation in the personnel and trust medical service of the KSW and other health institutions (ZHAW, ZAG, senior centres City of Winterthur etc.)
- Engagement in training events and student courses
- Involvement in various projects, including the development of intensified collaboration with the emergency centre and inpatient internal medicine (e.g. post-inpatient heart failure consultation)
Your profile
- FMH General Internal Medicine or equivalent training, knowledge of the Swiss healthcare system
- Clinical experience in outpatient internal medicine
- Experience as a senior internal medicine physician outpatient or inpatient
- Sonography skills and experience in punctures
- Interest in the broad spectrum of general internal medicine and interdisciplinary collaboration; enjoyment of internal medicine detective work
- High social competence and team and communication skills as well as enthusiasm for the training and further education of young doctors
