You don’t just want to apply paint. You want to prepare surfaces carefully and ensure that vehicles look like new again. If that fascinates you, becoming a Car Body Painter EFZ could be your profession.

More than just paint: precision you can see.
Vehicle paintwork consists of several layers and requires careful preparation, precise work, and a good eye for colours. You sand, fill, prime, and paint vehicle parts so that transitions are clean, surfaces even, and colour tones perfectly matched.

For this, you need manual dexterity, patience, sensitivity, and a sense of aesthetics. Because often a small difference makes the decisive impression – in the end, no one should be able to tell that there was ever any damage.

Sometimes you prepare a vehicle for painting, sometimes you mix colours or work directly in the paint booth. This mix makes the profession exciting: you plan, think ahead, and at the same time apply your craft skills.

Above all, this profession is not an office job. You work directly on the vehicle and see every day what you have created with your hands.

Your mission…

• Painting vehicle surfaces by preparing and applying colour samples with the latest mixing technology
• Repairing accident damage and paint damage caused by wear and tear
• Lettering and decorating vehicles with foils and stencils
• New painting and repainting of vehicles
• Polishing the vehicle to a high gloss after the paint has dried
