Your tasks – our position
- Definition, development and maintenance of the hospital's enterprise architecture in close collaboration with management (CIO) as well as with the various business departments.
- Derivation of architectural principles, target architectures and roadmaps from the corporate strategy, digital strategy and data strategy.
- Architectural support for integration platforms and API management.
- Ensuring coherence between business processes, applications, data, technologies and AI solutions (business, application, data and technology architecture).
- Architectural evaluation and support of use cases related to AI and data, especially in clinical, administrative and operational environments.
- Participation in defining reference frameworks for responsible use of artificial intelligence (e.g. architecture standards, governance, integration, data protection).
- Evaluation and support of digitalisation and IT projects regarding architectural compliance, scalability, security and sustainability.
- Support for standardisation and rationalisation of the application and system landscape, including cloud and AI-compatible platforms.
- Close collaboration with ICT Operations teams, Cyber Security, application managers and external partners in architectural and technological decision-making.
- Definition and maintenance of reference architectures, especially within the Microsoft ecosystem (Azure, M365, AI services, hybrid architectures).
- Participation in the introduction and development of governance, decision-making and documentation processes in architecture management.
- Active monitoring of technological trends (e.g. AI, cloud, interoperability in healthcare) and evaluation of their added value for the Biel Hospital Centre.
Your skills – our expectations
- Several years of professional experience (ideally more than 5 years) in ICT architecture, Enterprise Architecture or Solution Architecture.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture methods and frameworks (e.g. TOGAF or equivalent).
- Very good knowledge of modern ICT architectures, particularly in the Microsoft environment (Azure, M365, hybrid environments).
- Basic understanding of API-based architectures and API management concepts.
- Interest in AI- and data-based architectures and ideally experience in this field, for example: AI services and platforms.
- Integration of AI functionalities into existing business and clinical systems.
- Data, security and governance aspects of AI solutions.
- Experience in complex and heterogeneous IT environments with high requirements for availability, security and integration.
- Excellent analytical, structuring and conceptualisation skills.
- Ability to communicate complex topics understandably and to unite different stakeholders.
- Native German or French speaker with good knowledge of the other language.
- Experience in healthcare or highly regulated environments is an advantage.
