Intern in Nursing (mandatory)

What to expect

Human medicine students at the University of Bern complete a 4-week nursing internship as a prerequisite for admission to the 2nd year of study. The internship must be completed without interruption at a 100% employment level.

What you bring

• You have passed the aptitude test for medical studies in Switzerland (EMS) or are enrolled at the University of Bern for the Bachelor in Human Medicine.
• You want to gain insight into the areas of responsibility of health and nursing care and bring motivation as well as initiative to achieve your learning goals.
• You are ready to apply newly acquired skills in everyday life and to care for our patients and their relatives with appreciation and empathy.
