The Lausanne Municipal Police ensures security throughout the urban area, prioritising proximity to the population. With over 700 employees, the Police Corps carries out numerous tasks and is composed of several divisions.
As part of the development of community missions within our citizen relations and prevention teams, and more specifically within the Prevention unit of the Lausanne Police, we are looking for several motivated individuals ready to play a community role with the population and shopkeepers, to develop targeted prevention actions and to contribute to strengthening the feeling of security in the Lausanne area.

Main Mission(s)
Ensure a role as a contact person for the population and shopkeepers, providing visibility, prevention and problem-solving according to a medium and long-term approach at designated locations and points of attention.
Ensure the building and maintenance of links, remain attentive to needs and expectations, and develop solutions in partnership with identified stakeholders.
Plan and guarantee specific community actions (mobile police post, meeting cafés, events, partnerships, etc.), encourage contact with the population as well as with shopkeepers, and contribute to strengthening the feeling of security.
Ensure the reporting of intelligence and, if necessary, prepare useful statistics for the management and evaluation of actions.
Carry out police duties, guarantee security and public order, support the Intervention and Community Action Units (UIP) in their mandate of visibility, prevention and problem-solving.
Profile
Federal police certificate
Additional training in community policing, preferred
Minimum 5 years of professional experience
Experience in mediation and conflict management, preferred
Excellent knowledge of the urban fabric of Lausanne and public and private institutions in the city centre
Excellent knowledge of partners and stakeholders in the city centre
Good interpersonal skills
Good adaptability and negotiation skills
Special Conditions
Driving licence (category B)
Clean criminal record
Regular working hours
