Our client is an established Swiss technology company with an international focus, which has been developing, producing, and distributing safety-critical systems for rail infrastructure worldwide for over 60 years. With around 240 employees across Europe and its own branches, the company combines Swiss engineering culture with a global scope.

To strengthen a strategically new business area around IoT-based cloud solutions, we are looking for an experienced individual to actively shape the architecture and implementation.

Your Tasks

Co-building and operating a secure cloud platform for IoT applications in the areas of monitoring, predictive maintenance, and geofencing
Embedding security-by-design throughout the entire development lifecycle - from architecture to operation
Developing scalable backend services, REST APIs, and integrations to connect IoT devices, OT systems, and IT platforms
Further developing data-based functions and use cases in an interdisciplinary team of software and hardware development
Actively shaping architectural decisions and working closely with internal and external stakeholders

Our Requirements

Degree in computer science, software engineering, or a comparable technical course of study
Solid experience in cloud and IoT platform architectures as well as backend development (e.g. Java, Spring, REST APIs)
Knowledge of the security lifecycle as well as cloud and OT cybersecurity - including secure development, hardening, vulnerability and patch management
Practical experience with API integrations between IT systems and IoT devices as well as understanding of data models and flows
Systemic thinking, hands-on mentality, and enthusiasm for shaping a new business area from the ground up
