For our client, an established and traditional transport and logistics company in the Eastern Switzerland region, we are looking for a responsible and technically skilled individual as:

Workshop Manager / Responsible Mechanic (m/f, 80-100%)

Take responsibility for a modern workshop and a versatile fleet with a future.

Your interesting area of activity includes, among others:

• Responsibility for the smooth technical operation of the workshop as well as the entire fleet
• Carrying out maintenance, repair and servicing work on trucks and silo vehicles
• Diagnosis and rectification of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults
• Planning, organising and coordinating all workshop work
• Scheduling and monitoring of service, maintenance and external repair work
• Preparation and organisation of vehicle inspections and MOT appointments
• Support with technical clarifications as well as procurement of spare parts and materials
• Contact person for drivers regarding technical questions and vehicle malfunctions
• Participation in the optimisation of workshop processes and technical procedures
• Close cooperation with dispatch, driving personnel and management

For this position you bring the following profile:

• Completed training as a truck, automobile, agricultural or construction machinery mechanic with a federal certificate of competence (EFZ) or a comparable technical qualification
• Professional experience in the maintenance and repair of commercial vehicles is an advantage
• Good expertise in mechanics and ideally in pneumatics and hydraulics
• Experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing modern vehicle and system technology
• Enjoyment of responsibility and independent working
• Reliable, solution-oriented and structured way of working
• Good German language skills, both spoken and written
• Driving licence category C or willingness to obtain it
