About the job
What is my role?
Our client requires you as a maintenance technician specialising in electrical engineering for CNC machines. You are responsible for electrical diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of internal and external CNC production systems, ensuring everything runs smoothly. You will be involved in investment, machine, and plant construction projects, particularly in the areas of control construction, PLC programming, and retrofit. You independently carry out fault diagnostics on CNC controls and quickly and purposefully resolve any issues that arise. Creating electrical schematics using CAD is also part of your duties, as is documenting all work performed. You are prepared for regional external assignments outside production in Heerbrugg (nearby area) and work closely with production to minimise downtime. An interesting and very varied role with personal responsibility awaits you in a committed team.
What do I need to be successful?
You have completed electrical training as an automation technician, electronics technician, industrial electrician, mechatronics technician, electromechanic, or have equivalent further training in an electrical engineering discipline. You possess solid knowledge in troubleshooting CNC controls such as Siemens, Fanuc, or Heidenhain, and ideally other systems. You bring diagnostic experience and PLC programming skills, preferably in Beckhoff TwinCAT, Omron, and possibly Siemens. You have experience creating electrical schematics using CAD and possess basic knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, and hydraulics. Project experience in plant construction or retrofit projects is advantageous. You are characterised by an independent and solution-oriented working style and keep a cool head even in stressful situations. Good knowledge of MS Office and German language skills, both written and spoken, are a matter of course for you. Teamwork and reliability complete your profile, and you are ready for occasional on-call duties at weekends during high internal production loads or special projects.
What are my benefits?
Our client offers you a secure workplace in an established company with modern machinery. You will receive an attractive salary as well as additional benefits such as holiday and Christmas bonuses. You can expect regular working hours with normal working time and flexitime, although on rare occasions on-call duties at weekends during high internal production loads or special projects may be required. You have the opportunity for personal and professional development through training and courses. You work in a committed and collegial team that supports each other and benefit from flat hierarchies with short decision-making paths. The varied role with personal responsibility offers you exciting challenges both internally and on regional external assignments. Additionally, there are company social benefits and the chance for a long-term perspective with development opportunities within the company.
What distinguishes the company?
Our client is a successful manufacturing company that relies on state-of-the-art production technologies and continuously invests in the further development of its systems. The company places great value on a pleasant working atmosphere and an open communication culture where every employee is appreciated. With a stable market position and future-oriented projects, our client offers you a reliable employer where quality and innovation are paramount. Work-life balance is actively promoted here, and the company focuses on long-term employee retention rather than high turnover.
