Electronics Operator

Job Mission

• Monitors and regulates one or more automated manufacturing machine(s) for electronic products.
• Operates according to safety rules and production requirements (deadlines, quality).
• Performs conformity checks of products at various stages of manufacturing.
• May carry out first-level maintenance of production equipment.
• Assembles and tests electronic product components (components, wiring, mechanics).

Job Activities

• Move products to and from the storage area
• Solder components onto an electronic board
• Assemble the final product including electronic boards, wiring, mechanics
• Run test programmes according to the type of electronic product
• Check product conformity according to quality manager instructions
• Check operation and carry out maintenance of test equipment
• Detect malfunctions related to products, production tools and inform the maintenance department
• Perform interventions requiring authorisation for electrostatic discharge (ESD) risks
• Sort defective products and direct them to the relevant areas or departments (repair, recycling, disposal, ...)
• Package a product

Professional Skills

• Production and activity monitoring indicators
• Use of electronic measuring devices (multimeter, test station, ...)
• Soldering techniques with a soldering iron
• Use of a binocular microscope and manual and power tools (screwdriver, ...)
• Mechanical assembly
• Safety rules and instructions related to electronics
• Reading technical documents (assembly plans and diagrams)
