As part of the Clinic for Consultation, Geriatric and Neuropsychiatry (Head: Dr med Rafael Meyer), the Centre for Geriatric Psychiatry (Management: Kristine Ewert, Dr med Andrea Wälder and Susanne Spring) fulfils a valuable mission for the mental health of older people and their relatives with its services. It has four specialised wards as well as two outpatient clinics with Memory Clinics at the Aarau and Windisch locations. In addition to consultations and advisory services for relatives, the outpatient area includes the geriatric psychiatric consultation and liaison service for nursing homes. The centre is an SIWF-recognised training centre for psychiatry and psychotherapy, geriatric psychiatry, consultation and liaison psychiatry, as well as general internal medicine.

Profile

• Certified Nurse HF or Medical Practice Assistant
• Professional experience in acute geriatrics, acute medicine or in a medical practice is an advantage
• Flexible, resilient and motivated personality with high social competence
• Interest in continuous professional development

Tasks

• You will complement the interdisciplinary team of our acute geriatric psychiatric ward with nursing/somatic expertise and enthusiasm for treatment care
• You are proficient in carrying out medically prescribed therapeutic measures, especially blood sampling, infusion therapies and wound care
• You work from Monday to Friday, starting at 08:00 in the morning
• You see yourself as part of the interdisciplinary treatment team and share responsibility for the professional implementation of internal processes and standards
