Responsibilities:
- Advance Glion's applied research agenda by producing and disseminating high-quality research, contributing to accreditation KPIs, and strengthening Glion's standing as a thought leader in luxury hospitality
- Support applied research impact and industry engagement by integrating industry partnerships, data, and practitioner insights into research, teaching, and externally funded or industry-sponsored projects
- Contribute to the strategic development of the GRPI department by supporting research themes, funding opportunities, and cross-disciplinary initiatives
- Provide research leadership and mentoring, guiding junior faculty, shaping research themes, supervising publication pipelines, and supporting grant applications and funded projects
- Teaching on graduate and executive level and ensuring research insights are actively embedded into the classroom teaching and student experience. Ensure the latest research insights support the continuous development of Glion faculty and student experience
- Ensure academic excellence and quality assurance by engaging in curriculum innovation, modern pedagogical design, and adherence to GIHE quality standards, while contributing to student development and supervision
Profile and experiences:
- Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant field
- Evidence of continued professional development and engagement with luxury hospitality practice
- Internationally recognized track record of research excellence in luxury hospitality focused topics, demonstrated through high-impact publications, citations, and scholarly contributions
- Significant experience in developing and leading academic programs and research initiatives
- Proven success in securing research grants, industry partnerships, or externally funded projects
- Demonstrated leadership within an academic or research environment
- Ability to design and conduct rigorous, innovative applied research and lead large-scale or multidisciplinary research initiatives
- Ability to mentor colleagues, lead research groups, and contribute to academic programs
- Understanding of luxury hospitality sector trends, challenges, and opportunities, with strong industry networks
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse academic and industry partners
- Fluency in English required; proficiency in French is an advantage
